もう３月も半ば。初詣をしたばかりのような気がするけど、時間が過ぎるのはあっという間だな…。毎日「一日が長いなあ…」と感じてすごしているのにも関わらずです。時間感覚がどうにもオカシイ。
そういえば、からだの調子もちょっと変。年末くらいから左手の中指を曲げると痛い状態が続いています。当初は、トレイルライドで手袋を忘れ、藪を抜けるときに両手の手指近位指節関節を何度も痛打したので、それが原因と思っていました。しかしながら、右手はとっくに治癒しているのに、左手はまだ痛い。なんかいろいろな原因が考えられそうなのですが、それほど困っているわけではないので、もうしばらく自然治癒に期待しようかと思っています。
それより、一昨日から現れた、上腕後部を中心に左腕全体で見られる皮膚の痛みが気になります(泣)。皮膚を触ると、なんかやけどしたみたいな痛み。服が触れても痛いです。皮膚が痛い、というときは前にもあったけど、今回のはちょっと強めで少し心配ではあります。見た目は今のところなんともないのですが…。
さて。昨年は自社〜個人事業〜会社所属と、自身の環境が目まぐるしく動いたので、確定申告も大変な作業でした。でも、ほとんどは妻がやってくれて、提出は長男がやってくれたので本当に助かりましたよ。長男も4月からは新社会人です。頼もしさを感じましたね。
それに今日は、休業中の株式会社の決算を奧さんとやっていました。これがかなり難しい。昨年までは専門家にお願いしていたのですが、休業中ということもあり、会社のことにお金もかけられないので自分たちでやっているわけですが。
これが少し落ち着いたあと、赤プロフェットのブレーキセットとハンドルを換え、Leftyのメンテナンスをしていたら、終わったのが夕方でした。ペダルも交換しようと思っていたのですが、また後日ですね。
ブレーキを換装したばかりのCannondale Prophet号で
ブレーキセットはMagura MT8
ブレーキセットはオイル漏れでもったいないことになっているMagura MT8。漏れるのがクランプ部なので、きつく締めて対策してみました。これにて、いったん復活(…本当か？)。ディスクは純正が高すぎるので、KCNC製です。

160mmをリアにしています。ボルトもついてきたのですが、160mmに付いてきたもののうち一個が、頭の部分に星形を掘るのを忘れたものでした(笑)。
前後パッドはCRKLASとかいうブランド(？)のパッド。CLARKS かと思って買ってだまされたやつですね(苦笑)。安いのでまとめ買いしたのですが、以前使ったときにはパッドがすり減ってフォークの周りが粉だらけになりました。今回は大丈夫でしょうか？
やはり全部を新しいセットにしたせいか、走り出しは全くブレーキが効きませんでした。交差点前で減速したときにちょっと焦りましたね。とてもよく効いていたMagra Martaから換えたからなおさらです。
少しなじんできたあとは、今度は摩擦音が「キーッ」という感じで、これがまた気になる…。
Lefty Maxは非常に良くなりました
それよりも、Leftyの激変ぶりに感動！ いや、最近はCarbineに付けた普通のシングルクラウンフォークや、Lefty SuperMAXばかりだったので、ニードルベアリングの「マイグレーション」をリセットすることをずっと忘れていたのですよ。写真でも、グッと伸びた感じが分かりますね。
Prophet 275を性能で上回るのは難しい、と先週書いたと思いますが、このLeftyの吸い付くような動きなら、また違った面での利点が見えてきます。細かい荒れや根っこの連続などでは、負けないかもしれません。
しかし、ここは不調
しかし、このいつもの階段はやはり不調だったのです。Prophetはこの階段は苦手なのかな〜、などと思っていましたが、ポタリングの帰り道に、ニードルベアリング・リセット時にリバウンドノブを全部締めていたことを思い出しました。なので、推奨値に戻して帰り道にもう一回チャレンジしてみたところ、Prophet 275やCarbine 275にも負けない安定性に変化していました。ハンドルをEASTON HAVEN Carbonに換え、左右の幅が25mm程度伸びたのも功を奏したのかもしれません。
リバウンド設定について、ポタリングの最終段階まで気づかないとは、ホント、バカですねぇ。
それにしても、年齢を理由にこの階段をそろそろ卒業しようなんて、先週言ったばかりなのに、怖がりながらも今日２回、この階段にチャレンジしているなんて。まったく、アホですねぇ。
枝噛み
ポタリング中の枝噛み。見事な引っかかりをしていて、どう抜くのがいいのか、しばし考えたりしていました。
NIKON D600を試したのですが
今日は17:00を過ぎてからの出走ということで、明るいNikon 単焦点レンズ AF-S NIKKOR 50mm f/1.8Gを装着したNikon デジタル一眼レフカメラ D600を持っていったんですが、多くの写真がブレ写真、あるいはピンボケになっていて、難しさを感じましたね。

Pオートだと思いますが、F3.5でも被写界深度が浅い…。
全体的に開放に近い値で撮っているので、あまりキリッとした映りにはなっていません。MTBみたいなメカを撮るためには、APC-S機のほうがいいかもしれません。手持ちのコンデジやiPhoneもいいですが、自転車の場合はホイールの極端な歪みが気になるのです。
MFも試せば良かったな
今日は久々にAFオンリーでした。フルサイズのファインダーでもMFをためしておけば良かったかな。
今日もStravaで記録していたんですが、スタート時に二度押しでもしたのか、0kmのまま止まって、「再開」というボタンが出ていました。
もう。ボケボケですねぇ。
まあ、生きていられるだけ、いいんですが。

I congratulate you for your post on your beautiful bicycle Cannondale Prophet .. Indeed two, the red one and the aluminum one.
Me too, like you, I have a Cannondale Prophet 27.5 650B. I finished assembling a few weeks ago starting from the frame of the 2007 model in raw aluminum, size L, the only one that was perfectly compatible with my anthropometric and biomechanical measurements.
I installed everything new and I do not mind sending you the photos of the final result.
In order to keep the original bicycle geometry unchanged when the 26 wheels had been installed (curiously I also have the same crank brothers cobalt 3 of 26 you have) it was necessary to replace the original 140 lefty max fork with a more powerful and light Lefty PBR Ultra 120. Finally, to prevent the rear wheel from bumping into the saddle seat tube, we have reduced the Rock shox Pearl shock stroke from 140 to 120, inserting a suitable thickness inside.
The final result? A lightweight 27.5 Trail bike with variable angle (67.5 ° or 69 ° as in origin) in solid and very light “hand made in USA” aluminum with the best of the Japanese Shimano XT technology with a total weight of 11.6 kg (without pedals, 12Kg with Shimano XT pedals).
Not bad I would say, especially when compared to the weight of a new Cannondale Habit carbon today, which with components of even higher level, weighs virtually the same.
I would like to have your impressions on the aesthetics of my bike and, if necessary, do not hesitate to write me for any technical advice. In the latter case, I can also contact you with my trusted mechanic.

I use my red bike as 26er and my raw aluminum bike as 27.5er.
I have set up the front side of 27.5er with Lefty SuperMAX 140 mm and the rear side with 190 mm x 50 mm and set it as XC position.(I ordered a rear shock of 45 mm stroke from the United States, but in fact it is 50 mm so I feel sorry.) Unfortunately, this 27.5 model is in the final stage of the rear shock stroke, the rear tire touches the seat tube.
I was very interested in your prophet 2007, which was set to 120 mm travel both before and after. With this setting, I think that it is very good that the head angle of prophet is the same as the original. Besides, I am surprised that your bike is 11.6 kg – 12.6 kg, which is extremely lightweight.

I could have lowered it by at least another 300/350 g by installing the 27.5 crank brothers cobalt 3 like yours instead of the Mavic Cross Roc that I have now, but it has now become impossible to find them with the old Lefty 1.0 hubs.
And I think at least another 200/300 g installing Shimano XTR set of components instead of the Shimano XT, even if I consider the latter an excellent balance between performance and cost.

I bought crankbrothers cobalt3 27.5 at Amazon.com (USA) that is for Lefty 1.0(?). The disk brake adapter of My Lefty SuperMAX is for old lefty hub. I bought a SuperMAX adapter, but it is not nesessary for cobalt Lefty 3.
